Pornhub Awards Adds Music Stars, Taps Trophy Designer

NEW YORK CITY — The second annual Pornhub Awards has amped its entertainment quotient with a quartet of music artists set to take the stage.

Tommy Genesis, Ian Isiah, Rico Nasty and Kali Uchis will perform during the ceremony. They join a roster that includes the previously announced Bad Bunny, while producer and songwriter Benny Blanco has been tapped to serve as musical director.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Ian, Kali, Rico and Tommy take the stage with Bad Bunny,” said Corey Price, VP for Pornhub. “We are so lucky to have such complementary talents entertain us on our big night."

Show organizers have also tapped noted British art director and graphic designer Peter Saville to design the statuettes to be awarded to each winner. Saville joins the previously announced Willo Perron, who returns as creative director.

Saville’s varied list of notable designs includes the iconic cover of Joy Division’s 1979 album “Unknown Pleasures.” Besides frequent collaborations with music artists, Saville has branched into fashion with logo designs for Calvin Klein and Burberry. He has also worked with pioneering photographer Suze Randall.

He enthused about the unusual design opportunity. “The unexpected nature of the request was intriguing to me and I was excited to give it a try,” he said. “Following the inspiration of ‘chemistry,’ I researched the hormones associated with sexual arousal. As I learnt working with the legendary Suze Randall — it’s all about chemistry!”

The second annual Pornhub Awards, hosted by Asa Akira, are set for Friday, October 11 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Click here for a list of nominees and follow Pornhub on Twitter.
