Williams Trading's Bob Pyne Sr. Named to StorErotica's Hall of Fame

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — Williams Trading Co.’s Bob Pyne Sr. has been inducted into the Hall of Fame at the 13th annual StorErotica Awards ceremony for his contributions to the adult industry.

Pyne launched Williams Trading over 45 years ago, starting as an entrepreneur with adult DVDs and transitioned to the biggest brand names in pleasure products. Today, the company continues to grow and focus on technology with the support of its customers, with an e-learning platform, drop shipment programs for e-commerce support, and a comprehensive wholesale web ordering portal.

According to the company, Pyne Sr.’s leadership has positioned it for continued growth.

“Our family made a smooth transition to the second generation with six children running the business in management, warehouse operations, e-commerce and purchasing,” Pyne Sr. said. “My daily role is separated but I still attend all the family strategy meetings and weigh in with direction and leadership.”

During the early days, Pyne Sr., along with many adult pioneers, fought for equality, free speech, fairness and acceptance of this industry.

“The early adult business was not as socially accepted and openly prevalent as it is today,” Pyne Sr. added. “We fought many legal battles and endured many inequalities, during the start of this industry. At the time we did not know that we were paving the way for this growing, successful industry that flourishes today.”

Pyne Sr. and the Williams Trading Co. family thanked all nominees and winners of the StorErotica Awards.

“Especially important to me is the valued relationship with our long-term vendor partners including CalExotics, Pipedream, Nasstoys and Doc Johnson and our customers,” Pyne Sr. concluded. “The vendor support community including all of our suppliers, XBIZ, StoreErotica, and ANME are an integrated part of our long-term growth plan.”
