Wendy Williams Touts Urban X Awards Nom as Trans Performer of the Year

CYBERSPACE — Wendy Williams is trumpeting her 2019 Urban X Awards nomination as Trans Performer of the Year.

She is a prior winner in the category. “After almost two decades in the adult industry, to still be considered for awards is truly amazing,” said Williams. “The Urban X Awards celebrate diversity across the industry and I look forward to attending and being part of this event.”

The Urban X Awards ceremony is set for Sunday, August 18, at the Globe Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. Nina Elle, Gia Milana and Rob Piper are scheduled to host. Follow the show on Twitter.

She is the recipient of Lifetime Achievement honors from the Transgender Erotica Awards and was the first XBIZ Trans Performer of the Year winner in 2010.

Her varied slate of projects include the long-running Lexington Tgirl Parties, her cosmetics line, Painted by Wendy, and ownership of the Roadhouse LGBT bar in Cookeville, Tennessee.
