CalExotics, Jopen Nominated for 8 StorErotica Awards

LOS ANGELES — CalExotics and Jopen have landed eight nominations for StorErotica’s 13th annual SE Awards.

Nominees for the 2019 SE Awards were gathered in part by pre-nomination voting online. Once completed, StorErotica’s editorial staff compiled the votes along with independent polling that was conducted personally with retailers, distributors and manufacturers, to create this final SE Awards ballot.

New to the ballot this year is Sex Educator of the Year. The category features several nominees including Dr. Jill McDevitt, a resident sexologist at CalExotics. Dr. Jill works with CalExotics by providing education on sexual health and wellness through online video tutorials, product reviews, how-to tips, and more.

"I dreamed of being a sex educator since I was a young teen. Doing this work is the fulfillment of a life-long passion for me, and I'm grateful every day that I get to do my part to make the world a little more knowledgeable, introspective, and compassionate about sexuality. Being nominated for the Sex Educator of the Year award is a thrill and an honor,” McDevitt said.

Along with being a nominee for Sex Educator of the Year, Dr. Jill also is hosting the SE awards. Winners are announced during the awards, held in conjunction with the Adult Novelty Manufacturers Expo (ANME) in Burbank, California on July 16.

The nominations for CalExotics and JOPEN include: Pleasure Product Company of the Year, Executive of the Year — Susan Colvin, Founder and CEO of CalExotics; New Product of the Year — Santa Monica Starlet; Marketing Campaign of the Year — California Dreaming; Brand Ambassador of the Year — Austin Ferdinand; Retailer Favorite of the Year; Product Packaging of the Year — Jopen; and  Luxury Line/Range of the Year — Pavé, Jopen.

“It’s a pleasure to be nominated in eight different categories,” says Susan Colvin, founder and CEO, CalExotics and JOPEN. “That in itself is a major win! We’re extremely grateful to the customers who love and support our brand. Thank you for nominating us. It’s always been our goal to help enrich all lives with our products, and it means the world to me to know our work is making an impact.”

The final ballot for the 13th Annual SE awards is now open. Votes are accepted at StorEroticaAwards.com. Voters who haven’t already registered can sign up to vote by clicking on the “Register to Vote” tab on the main page of the website.
