LOS ANGELES — Evil Angel recently took home the title of Best Feature Video for its feature "Leigh Raven: Prove Something" at the 2019 AltPorn Awards.
The John Stagliano title stars Raven as the titular character and tells the story of an adventerous fetishist who is compelled to hide her true beauty under a pair of glasses and a business suit in her day to day.
Stagliano said that he collaborated closely with Raven to create a compelling narrative in which the storytelling and visual aspects of the film were as important as the sex.
“‘Prove Something’ is about an alt girl trying to fit into the straight world,” explained Stagliano. “Leigh was perfect for this. Her acting and sexual performances were really, really good. It is great to see the movie get some recognition — it's a movie that I'm very proud of.”
Raven recounted that the film came at a "pivotal point" in her career. "This story really hit home for me," she revealed. "I’m done being what people want or expect me to be, and I thank John for allowing me to tell that story."
