Kay Brandt Reveals Plans for 'Epic' U.S. Shoot for Marc Dorcel

Kay Brandt Reveals Plans for 'Epic' U.S. Shoot for Marc Dorcel

LOS ANGELES — Award-winning director Kay Brandt has revealed that she will be shooting an “epic” all-star orgy scene for European powerhouse studio Marc Dorcel in the L.A. area later this week.

The 10-person orgy scene will be released as part of Dorcel's 40th-anniversary celebrations this September.

In an exclusive interview with XBIZ, Brandt described the imminent shoot as the beginning of a “perfect marriage between France and Los Angeles,”  celebrated with “a glorious, mega-orgy” featuring Angela White, India Summer, Avi Love, Cherie De Ville, Whitney Wright, Emily Willis, Ryan Driller, Seth Gamble, Derrick Pierce and Codey Steele.

“I’ve been in discussions with Dorcel over the past couple of years,” said Brandt. “We knew we wanted to collaborate on a project but it wasn't until this past January that we decided to go forward with a feature. Then the topic of Dorcel's 40th anniversary came up and they offered me the opportunity to direct a special scene for the celebration, which happens in September. Of course, I jumped at the chance.”

This “very special scene” is indeed unprecedented, with Dorcel hiring an all-American cast (or U.S.-based, in White’s case), crew and director, and filming entirely in Los Angeles for the very first time. “They've never done anything like this,” revealed Brandt, “and we're all so honored to be involved with this monumental production.”

Brandt worked closely with the Dorcel executives every step of the way for this scene, including when it came to casting and location choices.

“I had pitched them an idea with Angela White in the lead role of the story and they loved it. From there, we kept building up our ‘dream team’ cast, throwing ideas and suggestions back and forth until we came up with the perfect players for the 10-person orgy.”

Brandt, who is directing for a European studio for the first time, has a proven track record in the U.S. adult industry both artistically and commercially.

“In some ways, it is new and different—first times are exciting to me,” said Brandt. “But it is also familiar because I'm working with my same crew, including super-talented adult cinematographers Sal Genoa and David Lord, and a local cast. Dorcel's production process and my own are very similar, and it's been exciting seeing the scene we will be shooting come together in pre-production. My vision is to blend my style of erotic storytelling with Dorcel's very sexy, chic, elegant look and feel in order to create a tantalizing and sophisticated feast of flesh for them.

Marc Dorcel established his studio in 1979, developing it into a powerful international brand that is synonymous with the local adult industry for many French people.

“Now, forty years later,” said Brandt, “Dorcel is still going strong — even diversifying — and it's time to celebrate this milestone!”

“It is indeed a perfect marriage,” Brandt concluded. “That's what me and the Dorcel team have been calling our partnership.”

This new alliance of a seasoned creator and an iconic studio is poised to be a win-win, adding another accomplishment to Brandt’s already gilded resume and introducing the Dorcel brand to a wider U.S. audience.
