Sin in the City 2020 Announces Call for Presenters

LAS VEGAS — Sin in the City, an annual kink, sex ed and advocacy event, has opened its application process for potential 2020 presenters.

Applications will be accepted through June 30 for the conference, which is set to take place January 31 through February 2 of next year. Organizers plan to deliver an event that “promises to bring perpetual pleasure, permanent play and infinite sin,” for the 8th year running.

Applications must include a biography, photo, relevant titles, proposed workshop/presentation descriptions, supplies requirements for each workshop and appropriate contact information. Only complete applications will be accepted.

Sin in the City’s producer Jazz said that the event gives preference to unique workshops that are outside of typical, run-of-the-mill presentations. Wanting to avoid repeats from previous years, they advised for returning presenters to pitch new material and to pitch multiple ideas if possible. “Make sure to offer at least five workshop options — we generally expect each presenter to lead 2-3 workshops, and you will have the best shot at being selected if you offer a little variety we can consider when examining our educational balance.”

Last but not least, would-be applicants are encouraged to keep in mind the event’s new Advocacy Track addressing the intersectionality of kink, sexual health and policy when submitting proposals.

Sin in the City welcomes attendees of all sexual orientations, gender expressions and identities, ages (18+), ethnicities and nationalities, physical abilities and religious and political affiliations to participate in the events. With fifteen hundred attendees last year, 2020 is set to include a number of socials, educational workshops, play parties, vendors, the International Person of Leather contest, boot blacking and more.
