UPDATE (2:55 p.m.): XBIZ spoke with Randy Quintana, a manager at Kendra Lust’s agency Society 15, who had been involved with bringing U.S. talent to Mexico City for Expo Sexo 2019. Quintana is staying with AJ Applegate until the local authorities allow her to retrieve Bill Bailey’s passport from his room in order to repatriate his body. Although Mark Spiegler is Applegate’s agent, Spiegler has authorized her friend Quintana to make statements on behalf of Applegate, who was sitting next to him at the Hotel Grand Prix.
“Bill was with us onstage all day at the convention on Sunday,” said Quintana. “He was tired. As the girls were doing press, we sent Bill back to the hotel to rest. We went for dinner and at 10:39 [p.m.] we got a call from Mia Malkova’s boyfriend telling us to come back right away. He didn’t want to tell us what it was over the phone.”
“In this hotel the 4th floor is really the 5th floor, and there’s a tricky staircase. So Bill got up, maybe he was tired, maybe he wanted to get food, maybe he heard his friends outside. Mia Malkova and her boyfriend were there. He must have tried to talk to Lexi Belle who was on the 2nd floor, Bill leaned over from the 4th floor. Tori Black saw it too. They all saw him, but Mia Malkova and her partner saw him fall and die. It must have happened shortly before I got the call. Mia Malkova, her boyfriend, Tori Black and Lexi Belle went with the police, and they also had the cameras that showed he was alone before he fell.”
“The owner of the hotel, who’s a friend of ours, put everything at the police’s disposal. AJ stayed behind with me. They took the body to the morgue and the paperwork just came in [at the time of the phone call with XBIZ, 2:00 p.m. PST]. His brother and sister are handling everything.”
“I want to make clear that there was no fight or altercation at the hotel whatsoever. Maybe the Mexican press is getting the idea of a fight because hours before, at the convention, there were some [trans performers] who were attracted to Bill, he’s very attractive, you know, and they were getting a little aggressive so I, not Bill, called security and said to get them out.”
“AJ is asking for people to respect her privacy and not sensationalize this on social media. We are now just waiting to be allowed into his room, which is still blocked off, and get his passport, so we can fly back after that.”
Update (11:15 a.m.): Reports that Bill Bailey's death has been ruled an accident are premature at this point, as this is an ongoing investigation. XBIZ has contacted the authorities of the Itzacalco borough of Mexico City, where Bailey's fall and death occured at the Grand Prix Hotel. The Izacalco authorities have confirmed to XBIZ that the investigation is ongoing and that, as of now, it has not been ruled "either an accident or something else." A call to the management of the Grand Prix could not go through because, as the hotel clerk explained, hotel management had left the premises to give testimony trying to clarify the events of last evening.
Update (10:30 a.m.): [WARNING: explicit images] Mexican TV is reporting that a man fell four floors from a hotel close to the Expo Sexo venue sometime between Sunday night and the early hours of Monday. According to their report, the man had been in some kind of altercation or fight in room 415, and the fall happened afterwards.The report has footage of the paramedics and what appears to be the body on the ground and it mentions that the body had been taken around 3:00 a. m. CST to the coroner's office in the D.F. district of Itzacalco.

CYBERSPACE — According to social media reports circulating this morning, adult performer Bill Bailey has passed away in Mexico City, apparently after an accident last night in his hotel.
The Tennesee-born Bailey, 38, was in a long-term relationship with fellow performer AJ Applegate, and had traveled with her to adult convention Expo Sexo y Erotismo 2019, held March 1-3 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City. Billed as “Latin America’s Largest Adult Event,” Expo Sexo featured this year internationally renowned adult performers like Applegate, Kendra Lust, Sophie Dee, Mia Malkova, Phoenix Marie, Nina Elle and Lexi Belle.
Bailey’s fall and death occurred after the last night of Expo Sexo, at the nearby Grand Prix Hotel, in the Mexico City borough of Iztacalco. Paramedics arrived to the scene and carried his body to the coroner’s office at 3:00 a.m. CST of Monday, March 4.
A popular and prolific performer in the industry since 2009, Bailey has amassed over 1700 scene credits, according to IAFD.
"RIP to my friend Bill Bailey. Horrible news to wake up too. Truly devastated. Everyone also keep AJ in your hearts and warm thoughts," tweeted Billy Visual.
"Sad news on the last day on my trip here to Mexico City," Christian XXX tweeted. "My friend and colleague Bill Bailey has passed away from a terrible accident."
"Every time I saw Bill Bailey he would ask me how I was doing and how my family was doing. Always polite, kind, gracious and professional," wrote Dana Vespoli.
