HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Riley Reid was selected as Best Actress by XCritic for her performance in the paranormal thriller from Adam & Eve Pictures, “The Cursed XXX.”
Riley is nominated for Best Actress and the movie is up for 12 awards at next week’s XBIZ Awards.
Art Koch of NightMoves said, "It is a Riley Reid you have never seen before. She outdoes herself. A superb performance and production in every way."
"An incredible acting job by Riley Reid and at times, I got scared watching this movie," wrote Apache Warrior of XCritic.com in his review.
Ryder noted the preparation Reid went through in an effort to deliver her best performance..
"I asked her to eat two raw eggs and six ounces of freshly killed deer venison each morning before sunrise in order to move out of her normal acting rhythm," writer/director Will Ryder said. "She told me to fuck off, but sometimes just the mere suggestion is enough to get the best out of these performers."
Reid said: "I'm really honored to win the XCritic Best Actress award because this movie is really different from anything I've even done. Will Ryder is amazing, but I think he might be losing his mind just a little bit because this movie is a long way from those cute, happy, funny movies he's known for."
Reid previously took home trophies when “The Cursed XXX” was named First Choice Winner at the NightMoves Awards and also when she teamed up with Ryder and Adam & Eve to play Sandy in the musical “Grease XXX,” which also earned an XBIZ Award for Parody Release of the Year.
Also starring in “The Cursed XXX” are Kat Dior, Sarah Vandella, Misty Stone, Holly Hendrix, Nia Nacci, Chloe Scott, Victoria June, Maya Bijou, Ziggy Star, Lucky Starr and Veronica Valentine. The men are Brad Armstrong, Seth Gamble, Chad White, Mike Mancini, Frank Bukkwyd, Connor Kennedy and James Bartholet.
