Lynn Pleasant, Arrested on Murder-for-Hire Charges, to Remain in Custody

UPDATED (1:45 p.m.) — U.S. Magistrate Judge John T. Rodgers this afternoon ordered Lynn Pleasant to remain in custody of the U.S. Marshals Service until further order of the court. Pleasant was in court today with her defense attorney, federal defender Molly Winston.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Lynn Pleasant, a former adult star who most recently worked in the cams biz, was arrested at Spokane International Airport by the U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday after disembarking from a plane.

A detention hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. today at Spokane federal court to determine whether she will be allowed to post bail.

She’s been held at Spokane County Jail since her arrest after being charged with five counts of using interstate commerce facilities, such as a phone or email, in the commission of a murder-for-hire scheme.

Pleasant could face up to 10 years of imprisonment if convicted. She could also potentially pay a $250,000 fine for each count against her.

Pleasant shot more than four dozen titles for numerous studios — Kick Ass Pictures, Hush Hush Entertainment, Karups, Dogfart and others — from 2004-2011. In recent years, she was camming on iFriends.net, which closed shop several months ago.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the intended victim or described the motive behind the alleged scheme, but Assistant U.S. Attorney Traci Whelan said that the plot targeted an Idaho resident.

Another assistant U.S. Attorney, James Goeke, described Pleasant as a “serious risk of flight and danger to the community” and has asked that she be held without bail.

The alleged scheme first took shape “on or about Oct. 20,” according to the indictment.

The intended victim is only identified as “R.H.” in the complaint, which was crafted by a federal grand jury.

The alleged victim was never harmed.
