Bonnie Rotten Talks Porn Bans With BBC News Podcast

ENGLAND — Brazzers contract star Bonnie Rotten was a recent guest on “BBC Beyond Today,” a BBC News podcast, to discuss the recent Tumblr porn ban and how such censorship impacts adult performers.

Rotten’s episode is titled “Porn Bans: Who Decides What We See?”

“As social media platforms implement their stricter policies and the U.K. Age Verification is on its way, Rotten spoke about how censorship affects her work and the industry,” said BBC News’ Thomas Fabbri.

“(This week) Tumblr will start blocking pornographic posts. Next year, a new law will force porn sites to verify that people watching in the U.K. are over 18. It’s the first attempt to restrict access to porn online," Fabbri said. "It’s not yet clear how age verification will work and the social media platforms’ own rules about what is and is not allowed seem to change all the time.” As such, Rotten and U.K.-based performer Zara DuRose, “discuss the issues they face publicizing their work.”
