Clandestine Devices' Kimberly Faubel Earns 2 Noms for 2019 XBIZ Exec Awards

LOS ANGELES — Kimberly Faubel, Clandestine Devices’ Director of Operations, has been honored with two XBIZ Exec Awards nominations representing the retail market for 2019.

Faubel picked up a nomination for WIA Woman of the Year, as well as Community Figure of the Year, for her role in Clandestine Devices’ production and marketing of "the wildly-popular MIMIC personal pleasure massager," according to a rep, "together with the company’s founder, adult industry trailblazer and icon Jules Jordan."

Faubel said, “To be nominated as Community Figure of the Year is absolutely heartwarming … this industry is my life, and has been for nearly 16 years. I've seen the industry evolve into the community it is today. When I have the opportunity to visit our partners and retailers, it's quite clear that we are heading in the sex-positive and inclusive direction we should be, so this nomination, in particular, is incredibly rewarding.

“To also be nominated for the WIA Woman of the Year just makes me want to sing and happy-cry," she continued. "I put my all into my work every single day, and this is how most of us operate. When I talk to my colleagues and fellow vendors, we all notice similarities in how we operate; always available, ready for the next trip, never off the clock. We take these positions very seriously and still manage to unwind with each other for a few moments at each show or event. It's such a supportive community of people — not just women, but it's certainly nice to be recognized for all that we do."

According to a company rep, "The powerful, portable handheld MIMIC and MIMIC + PLUS have both become instant hits, each with a versatile ergonomic design, user-friendly interface, brilliant colors and glowing LED light that affords personal indulgence for the adventurous. The curved, waterproof rechargeable pleasure products are made of medical grade silicone and offers six speeds/intensity levels, eight vibration patterns, a glowing LED light and 90 minutes of powerful pulsations on a single charge. The MIMIC is available through select top-quality distributors within the United States, Europe and Australia, with more international distributors to be announced in the near future."
