COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — TS star Wendy Williams has hit the one-year mark operating PaintedByWendy.com, which sells her makeup brand comprising hand-picked colors that look great under a spotlight as well as for businesswomen working nine to five.
“I decided years ago to start a makeup brand because I work in an industry where makeup is key to success, not to mention it makes us all feel better to get glamorous,” Williams says of her site, which sells eye shadow, blush, gloss, lipstick, contour and highlighting.
Williams — who has worked in the adult entertainment industry for 16 years, a prior XBIZ Award-winner for Trans Performer of the Year, and recently made her debut on Tgirl40.com — is finding success marketing her products on Facebook Live.
“Reaching a 16,000-20,000 views live, I’m able to cross promote my makeup company and the LGBT bar I own in Cookeville, Tenn., called RoadHouse Bar,” Williams told XBIZ.
Williams also is a publicist for her own agency, HotWendyPR, representing performers like the XBIZ Award-nominated Raven Roxx, who has worked in the trans adult industry for a few years.
Roxx is a business partner and one of producers of Bad Girl Maffia Productions, which has three titles released on DVD with VIP Media Distribution.
