HellHouse Media Acquires Made2Order Video

SEATTLE — HellHouse Media continued its expansion plans with the acquisition of Florida-based amateur producers, Made2Order Video, and its "XXX Home Made Films" series. HellHouse Media CEO Ty Gonty told XBIZ that he purchased the Internet operation outright.

The terms of the deal, which were undisclosed, covers all aspects of Made2Order Video, including websites, DVDs, film production assets and all licensing and distribution rights. HellHouse also will incorporate Made2Order's content onto DVD, video-on-demand, and pay-per-view offerings worldwide. HellHouse retains the rights to use the company's amateur stars in future productions.

Gonty described the acquisition as a "win-win" for both companies — HellHouse becomes a player in the amateur niche, and Made2Order content receives more exposure through wider distribution.

"When HellHouse got its start, we noticed Made2Order selling on some of the same platforms as us, "Gonty said. "So as we expanded our outreach, we figured that acquiring their content was a natural progression since we could expose it to a larger audience than they seemed capable of reaching on their own."

Before HellHouse's purchase, Made2Order content only was available via its membership sites and VOD. HellHouse's immediate plans for the content that came with the deal is to re-edit and release it as part of the company's "University's Slutty Schoolgirls" series.

Gonty said the purchase included 110 hours of already-shot content, which will debut on DVD this month.

"Our plan is to incorporate [Made2Order DVDs] into the HellHouse release schedule at a rate of two to three new releases per month," Gonty said, raising the company's output to four new titles each month starting in July.

"I'm happy to make this deal with HellHouse," said Melissa Hodge, co-founder of Made2Order Video. "I've had over 20 different offers for this business, but HellHouse is the only one capable of marketing and developing the concepts I've created and taking them to a higher level than I could on my own."

The production team behind Made2Order video will continue to produce content for its websites and future DVD releases through HellHouse Media.
