Fiona Patten to Discuss Memoir, Politics in Sydney Next Week

SYDNEY — Fiona Patten will be speaking in Sydney next week to discuss her new memoir and to lay out plans to get reelected as a member of Parliament.

Patten — an Australian politician and leader of the Reason Party (formerly the Australian Sex Party) — released her memoir, “Sex, Drugs and The Electoral Roll” last month.

Thursday night’s event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will serve as the Sydney launch of her book. It is slated at the landmark bookstore Better Read Than Dead in the Newton neighborhood.

“Hear Fiona talk about how the former Sen. Mal Colston tried to get her to throw $30,000 at him to vote the right way on phone sex laws,” said Robbie Swan of the Reason  Party. “You’ll be rolling in the aisles as she retells the hilarious first meeting with Peta Credlin, and you’ll be amazed at how a party leader discussed with her in a public cafe about how he used remote-controlled vibrators on his wife.”

“She’ll outline her strategy for the coming Victorian election and how she plans to snag a senate seat or two at the federal election next year.”

Swan noted that the Reason Party needs donations to get Patten returned to Parliament. Click here to donate.

Better Read Than Dead is located at 265 King St., Newtown NSW 2042, Australia
