BURBANK, Calif. — Personalized collections have arrived on YouPorn with the launch of a content-suggestion engine called "For You Weekly."
Like many machine-learning-based suggestion engines, the new YouPorn feature will offer a weekly, personalized playlist based on the users' personal video view history.
The “For You Weekly” launch comes in tandem with a number of site updates, including new categories, video tagging and additional filters — all to improve efficiency and overall accuracy of search.
Charlie Hughes, YouPorn’s vice president, said the adult entertainment brand is excited with the “For You Weekly” rollout, which is intended to keep users longer on the site.
“As a forward-thinking leader within the adult entertainment industry, we wanted to offer our users a collection of personalized video content to choose from every week, to help save time and enhance their experience overall," Hughes said. "We’re also thrilled to offer our users a glimpse into what their favorite influencers are recommending through the guest playlists."
The new site updates undertook a massive rethink of its categories and tags, Hughes added.
"By adding 50 percent more categories and grouping them intelligently, users will have an easier time navigating our site, and will find what they are looking for faster," he said.
