NEW YORK — “Inner Hoe Uprising” will be showcasing its sex-positive, pro-feminist podcast at Sex Expo NY, to be held the weekend of Sept. 22-23 at the Brooklyn Expo Center.
Presented by premier cam network Chaturbate, the two-day event will feature showcases from top pleasure product manufacturers and sex-ed workshops hosted by a wide array of educators and sexual wellness experts.
“At this year’s Sex Expo New York, we’ll be promoting our podcast ‘Inner Hoe Uprising,’” said Sam Riddell, one of the co-hosts. “‘Inner Hoe Uprising’ is a sex, love and dating podcast helmed by four black NYC-based feminists. The show features strong themes related to queer identities, trans identities, self-care, mental health, sex-positivity and social justice. Though dealing with heavy topics, ‘Inner Hoe Uprising’ is a lighthearted show with a strong comedic element. We conduct bi-weekly interviews and bi-weekly conversational episodes. Riddell added, “Our booth will be filled with materials about our show, along with free swag — stickers, condoms, lube — and merchandise for sale. Myself, Sam Riddell and my co-host Akua Genfi will be there representing the company.”
The Brooklyn Expo Center is located at 72 Noble St. in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint area and is within walking distance of the MTA’s Greenpoint Ave. subway station, which is served by the G Train.
