Butts said that the catalyst for his writing contest was the thousands of colorful letters he’s received from fans throughout the years. He’s also planning on penning an advice column, and reading people’s submissions is a way for him to gain insight into different sexual experiences, he said.
“I get a lot of people that submit ideas to me, so I thought of this writing contest as a way to get the fans involved,” Butts said. “I’m looking for good stories and perspectives on what turns people on.”
The three contest categories are: “The single biggest mistake I made in my life between the ages of 12-17;” “That one thing I’ll do if I really want to blow someone’s mind during sex;” and, “The greatest single sexual experience of my life.”
Contest winners will receive $400 each and second-place finishers will win $100. All submissions must be at least 500 words and received by Aug. 15. Upon submission, all entries become the sole property of FistFight Inc., a Seymore Butts corporation. Complete contest rules can be found here.
“I certainly want to involve the adult industry in this, but I encourage anyone and everyone to enter,” Butts said. “I’m looking forward to reading all the submissions, and who knows, there might be some great ideas here for a future Seymore Butts movie.”
