LOS ANGELES — Flirt4Free has announced it will present the 2nd annual Str8UpGayPorn Awards, set for Oct. 21 in Hollywood.
The live webcam company was a platinum sponsor for last year’s inaugural awards in New York City and have elected to “increased their participation,” a rep said. “That show ushered in a first for the gay porn industry – an awards show professionally filmed and streamed live on a highly trafficked platform to an audience of highly engaged fans, while living forever online for on-demand viewing.”
The ceremony's archived broadcast has drawn “over 40,000 views to date,” the rep said.
Flirt4Free Director of Product Jamie Rodriguez expressed excitement at the company’s increased participation. “We’re thrilled to be involved again,” she said. “It only made sense, after last year’s success, that we take the presenting sponsorship this year. It’s sure to be a high-profile event with a lot of exposure for the industry, which is great for all of us.”
Executive Producer Davyd Dixon thanked Flirt4Free for their support. “I couldn’t be more happy to have Flirt4Free presenting this year’s ceremony,” he said. “Their support for the gay side of this industry is really unparalleled. We haven’t seen a cam company with such close ties to our side of the industry. They have successfully engaged the gay audience and the gay side of the business like no one else. This high-dollar investment in our show is another extension of that.”
The ceremony will be held at the Avalon Hollywood venue, hosted by drag performer and comedian Bianca Del Rio alongside adult performers Boomer Banks and Blake Mitchell (click here for that story).
