Plastic Penis Straws Banned by Oakland's Feelmore Adult Gallery

OAKLAND, Calif. — Feelmore Adult Gallery sex toy and novelty store will no longer stock plastic penis straws or any non-biodegradable item.

Nenna Joiner, who owns and operates the well-known Feelmore, has been closely watching local ordinances that banned plastic bags as well as the recent movement to discontinue plastic straws.

“Plastic opponents have worked to educate the community about how to help the environment and are now working with local governments to ensure businesses do their part,” Joiner said.

“The U.S. and local businesses that procure straws have an opportunity to help. Feelmore wants to do its part for the community and the environment.”

Customers seeking out plastic penis straws for their bachelor and bachelorette parties “will now be informed about the reason they will not find them at Feelmore,” said Joiner.

“It is time to stop selling them altogether.”

“Kitsch water bottles” will be offered as an alternative to plastic penis straws to help “keep the fun and laughter going while maintaining a stance on the environment.”
