George Pérez Fetish Con to Celebrate 'Cosplay-Meets-Bondage'

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Artist George Pérez will return to Fetish Con to meet-and-greet fans and attendees and host the annual presentation of a cosplay-meets-bondage show he commissioned.

It is the first of only two convention appearances on the books for 2018.

Fetish Con, sponsored by Clips4Sale, unspools August 9-12 in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Pérez is a Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame recipient with notable runs on “Justice League of America” and “The Avengers” as well as a defining take on “Wonder Woman.”

A convention rep notes that although Pérez “has been a fetish fan for as long as he could remember — with a particular penchant for catfighting and bondage that sometimes filtered into his comic book art — it wasn’t until 20 years ago that he actually dipped his toes into the public fetish waters.”

Pérez commissioned “a superheroine catfight video” with a spotlight on erotic female combat. “At first, Pérez merely wrote the stories, but eventually ended up writing, directing, editing and even performing in the series,” titled “The Sisterhood of Superheroines,” now marking its 20th anniversary.

Saturday, August 11, he will host a live performance of the show from 1-3 p.m. on the FetishCon mainstage.

Event Promoter Genesis Lynn said it was “such an honor” to have Pérez return for the eleventh year. “He’s been a true friend of the show and our attendees. The Superheroine Showdown is one of the highlights of the weekend. The fans love it.”

Fetish Con will also mark the anniversary of “The Sisterhood of Superheroines” with a screening of Pérez’ new film, “Unchained Malady” featuring Stacy Burke, Saharra Huxly, Kymberly Jane, Jewell Marceau and Angela Sommers.

A question-and-answer session with Pérez and cast members will follow the screening.

“You’ll get the full movie experience with complimentary popcorn, sodas and a special souvenir keepsake for autographs,” Lynn said. It’s going to be a great night.”
