LOS ANGELES — Nadia Ali, known to many as the controversial Muslim porn star, will be hosting on Sunday the grand opening of her Hollywood beauty bar, Onai Here 2 Slay.
From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the beauty bar will be celebrating with champagne, finger food and cupcakes. The ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place at 3 p.m.
“This has been a dream of mine, years in the works and now the day is finally here, the grand opening of my own beauty bar,” Ali said. “My goal is to make Onai Here 2 Slay the place to go for beauty, confidence and empowerment, and I want to thank all of my friends, family and fans for all of their support.”
The Pakistan-born Ali left the adult industry two years ago, but her legacy was written about in a New York Times Op-Ed piece last month titled, “How to Be a Hoejabi.” It can be read here.
Before and even after porn, Ali perfected her skill in both threading brows and lash extensions by working house calls. Now, with the store, she has expanded services to brow microblading.
