'Vice Is Nice' Fundraiser Is Set for Saturday, July 28

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Mark your calendars and purchase your tickets for the upcoming “Vice Is Nice” animal rescue fundraiser, which is slated for Saturday, July 28.

The 9th annual event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until midnight at Penthouse CEO Kelly Holland’s four-acre Rancho Providencia property in Chatsworth, will include music and dancing, red-carpet photos, vegetarian food, prizes, tarot card readings and more. While Vice Is Nice is a fundraiser, it also doubles as a great place for many in the adult entertainment industry to get caught up with one another.

“It’s hard to believe we are at the 9th year,” Holland told XBIZ. “If practice makes perfect we have gotten very good at throwing the best party of the summer and this year it will not disappoint anyone.

“Our Celebrity Poker Tournament is bigger and better than ever. We’ve expanded to 12 tables and have 10 great prizes,” she said. "The raffles are bigger than ever, more bars, more food and more ways to have a great time while supporting animal rescue."

Holland noted that early registration to Vice Is Nice has its benefits. “We have a discount for early registration at Vice-Nice.org,” she said.

This year's Vice Is Nice, as in past years, will raise funds for The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA), a no-kill shelter she runs that provides rescue, adoption and sanctuary for abandoned and abused companion and farm animals. Funds also will be sent over to other local rescue organizations.

Holland characterizes the annual event as one that brings together animal lovers and industry luminaires who help raise much-needed funds for animal rescue. More than 900 attended the 2017 version of Vice Is Nice.

About half of the fundraiser's proceeds are from company sponsorships. Holland noted that "we’re looking for great sponsors" as well.

General admission tickets to Vice Is Nice are $20 online (early-bird pricing ends Thursday) and $35 at the event. There are several other early-bird ticket packages, such as the Vice Trio Pack (event entry plus three coupons for food or drink) and the Vice Duo Pack (event entry plus two coupons for food or drink), that cost $35 and $30 online and $56 and $49 at the event. To participate in the poker tournament, seats are $55 in advance, including admission, or $65 at the event. There are Uber drop-off points and parking assistance. Attendees must be 21 years of age. For more information or to pre-register, call (818) 207-2440 or visit TheAnimalRescueAlliance.org.
