LOS ANGELES — West Hollywood-based adult retailer Pleasure Chest is offering Pride-focused Pleasure Ed. workshops throughout June and Community Outreach at local events during L.A. Pride Weekend, which will take place this Friday through Sunday.
All month long, the Pleasure Chest is showing their love with a series of queer-themed workshops designed to give folks a safe space to explore identity, gender and sexuality, the retailer said. There will be classes on Queering Your Sex, Strapping On, Booty Play, Electroplay and a range of S&M topics.
During L.A. Pride weekend, the Outreach Team will be on hand at various events representing The Pleasure Chest with free giveaways, mini-workshops and other “sexy surprises.”
“The highlight of the weekend will be in the Leather Tent at the Dyke Day LA event, where our team of Sex Specialists will be offering free mini-workshops on Queering Your Sex, Spanking, BDSM and Bondage Basics,” a spokesperson said. “Wherever you end up at Pride, look out for the colorful crew wearing Pleasure Chest t-shirts and grab some free pins, fans and maybe a spanking or two.”
Sarah Tomchesson, head of business operations, added, “Pleasure Chest was founded in the Stonewall era a few blocks from the Stonewall Inn. Pride is an important time of year for us as a company. Our yearly participation in Pride celebrations and our Pride programming gives us an opportunity to connect with our community in fun and meaningful ways.”
All workshops are free to attend and will be held at Pleasure Chest Los Angeles, which is located 7733 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, Calif., 90046. No registration is required. Attendance is on a first come, first served basis. Free parking in lot.
