CYBERSPACE — Directors Angie and Colin Rowntree have announced the launch of cannabis cooking series and lifestyle site MaryJanesApron.com.
The site showcases the first six episodes of the cooking program “Mary Jane’s Apron,” starring adult performer Delirious Hunter in a SFW role as a 1950s-style housewife giving cannabis cooking lessons.
“A lot of people know about brownies and other baked goods, and on MaryJanesApron I want to expand upon that,” Hunter said. “I make pancakes, fresh pasta, chicken kiev and pizza, for example, all of which are infused with marijuana. Cannabis can be in breakfast, lunch and dinners!”
The site also has archives of additional cannabis-focused cooking programs and articles. Future episodes will include guest chefs and on-location demonstrations at trade shows and events.
“It’s a lot of fun producing a more ‘mainstream’ show,” Angie Rowntree said. “It gives us all the opportunity to be creative in a very different way. I’m really looking forward to see where MaryJanesApron will take us.”
Colin Rowntree said of the relationship between cannabis and the adult industry: “When we first began producing the cannabis cooking show series in 2017, we decided to keep the adult entertainer aspect out of it and go for a more mainstream-friendly approach as it was unknown if the two cultures would play well together or how the legal marijuana industry felt about porn.
“[But] with new information [we know that] pot and porn go together like bread and butter, so we decided to do the big reveal to bring these two communities some interesting content.”
