Fairvilla Hosts 50th Anniversary Party for Magic Wand

ORLANDO, Fla. — On April 26, Fairvilla’s Sexy Things, located at 7535 International Dr., hosted a party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Magic Wand.

The event included complimentary Harvey Wallbanger cocktails, Songbird wine from Shiisa Cellars, a wand-shaped cake, body painting by Mandi Ilene Schiff, giveaways and more.

Considered the “Top 10 Most Influential Gadgets of All Time” by Time Magazine, the Magic Wand is widely considered as an icon.

The Magic Wand was listed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office in April of 1968.

“It’s absolutely a top seller and fan favorite at Fairvilla Stores,” reports Debra Peterson, the Florida chain’s director of purchasing.

Eddie Romero of Vibratex, which has been the sole importer to North America for more than 15 years, attended, providing wand-based massages to willing customers.

“This celebration was an energetic and interactive way of reintroducing the Magic Wand and the Rechargeable Wand to our customers.  Vibratex is proud to partner with Fairvilla and sponsor this event,” Romero said.

Vibratex provided Magic Wands for giveaways, which were raffled off throughout the night.

At the event, Fairvilla’s Sexy Things held a silent auction featuring art from “The Magic Wand Through Art History," who places the iconic Magic Wand into famous pieces of art by Gustav Klimt, Pablo Picasso, and Michaelangelo, among others.

In addition to the art and revelry, Angelique Luna of Living a Sex-Positive life was on hand to give sexy tarot card readings to partygoers and Dr. Carrozzella from Florida Center for Hormones & Wellness shared various ways to improve sexual health, wellness and self-image.

Along with the event, Fairvilla held celebrations at its other stores (located in Orlando, Cape Canaveral, Kissimmee, Key West and Land ‘O Lakes) that included free cocktails, discounts on the Magic Wand and free gifts with purchase.

Nikki Mier, the general manager of Fairvilla’s Sexy Things, who coordinated the party, said that she was extremely happy with the outcome.

“Hosting in-store parties and events have always been successful ways for us to attract new customers to Fairvilla,” Mier said. “Tonight we celebrated art, education and brought people together all in the name of the best known massager in the world. Now that’s a good time.”
