Colt Studio Is Event Sponsor for S.F. Frameline Film Festival

SAN FRANCISCO — Colt Studio Group is an official event sponsor for the 31st annual Frameline Film Festival, set for June 14-24 in San Francisco. The festival traditionally takes place the week prior to San Francisco's annual Gay Pride Parade and weekend.

"A couple of years ago, when we produced 'BuckleRoos,' we also produced a byproduct that was the making of the movie, called 'eXposed.' Test audiences liked it, because it was full of information, and we entered it in Frameline and premiered it there," Colt Studios President and Creative Director John Rutherford told XBIZ. "We kept in touch with Frameline and they asked us to be a sponsor. Our logo will be included in ads, billboards and bus signs during the festival."

"We wanted to support gay filmmakers, both adult and mainstream," Rutherford said. "That's our audience, and we support our audience. I always believed you get back what you put out."

Established in 1977, Frameline is San Francisco's International LGBT Film Festival. This year's festival will present more than 230 features and short films from more than 24 countries. The festival is presented by Frameline, a nonprofit LGBT organization whose mission is to strengthen the diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and further its visibility by supporting and promoting a broad array of cultural representations and artistic expression in film, video and other media arts.
