2018 XBIZ Cam Awards Announced, Clip Artist Categories Added

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce the grand return of summer’s top red-carpet event, the 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards, presented by premier webcam community MyFreeCams, slated for Thursday, May 31, in Miami.

The flashy ceremony is the crown jewel of XBIZ Miami, elevating the peerless annual forum with a truly climactic finale. Delivering four action-packed days of networking, educational and exclusive social events in a setting that combines both tropical sizzle and luxurious amenities, XBIZ Miami is the adult industry’s biggest summer event of the year.

Following the wild success of last year’s glitzy extravaganza — which was held at the world-famous Versace Mansion and honored the top talent from around the world — the 2018 edition of the XBIZ Cam Awards will now recognize a broadened definition of the word “cam” by introducing new categories to recognize the talented clip artists whose skyrocketing popularity is supercharging the world of adult entertainment.

“The inaugural XBIZ Cam Awards honored the countless personalities that contribute to the amazing growth and popularity of interactive adult entertainment,” said Alec Helmy, founder and publisher of XBIZ. “This year, XBIZ will once again be at the forefront of adult by recognizing an expanded scope of talent, honoring their excellence with utmost prestige.”

From cam models to clip artists, the business of intimacy is booming, as stars and their fans forge truly palpable bonds. Celebrating that connection, XBIZ is once again empowering those very same fans to help determine the winners by weighing in on their favorite personalities and brands.

"Last year, we received more than a million unique votes,” said Leah Mahi, XBIZ’s director of marketing and advertising. “This year, we expect to garner even more! And as the power and influence of cam models and clip artists continue to grow, so too has the number of exceptionally skilled individuals. Each and every one has demonstrated their unique talent, and XBIZ wants to crown the very best with the most prestigious symbol of industry renown.”

The pre-nomination period for the 2018 XBIZ Cam Awards will run from Feb. 27 until March 26, with the finalist nominees announced on April 9. Finalist voting will then run from April 9 through May 31.
