LOS ANGELES — New indie company Porn Nerds has announced it will crowdfund the production of a “Black Panther” porn parody.
"Just like Hollywood is now ready for a black lead superhero movie, we’re ready for a majority black lead superhero porn parody," Porn Nerds owner Chris Tee said. "We were influenced last year when Brad Armstrong and Wicked Pictures shot a feature movie with an all black cast, and we thought there needs to be more mainstream attention in porn with ebony performers in a more feature lead roles.
“So with the huge buzz in Hollywood over Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ movie which will have a majority black cast,” Tee added, “It’s natural to us we wanted to collaborate with others to make the one of the most amazing porn parodies ever featuring a black superhero, completely funded by fans and sponsors, and we’ll give it away for free.”
The Indiegogo campaign has a goal of raising $10,000 by March 3, but the Porn Nerds said if at least $5,000 is raised, then the movie can still be made, but only the donators will get the movie for free.
Tee said they would collaborate with director Adam Christopher, known for his other parody films, "Defenders XXX" and "Porno Things: A Stranger Parody."
“Very honored the guys over at Porn Nerds asked me to shoot and direct this special project," Christopher said. “I’m a huge superhero geek. I love comics and all the mainstream movies. I know how special this 'Black Panther' movie coming out is going to be for society, so I’ve written a script and I’m looking for all ebony performers from all over to be a part of this majority black casted feature porn parody.
"I believe the fans want it, and I believe they will help us fund it since no mainstream company wants to. We’re ready to listen if a company wants to fund it for us.”
