'Justice' Wins 2007 Maleflixxx People's Choice Award

CHICAGO — Hot House Entertainment's feature "Justice" received the 2007 Maleflixxx People's Choice Award at the 17th annual Grabby Erotic Video Awards on May 26.

The winners were decided by fan-casted votes on Maleflixxx's global network. Shane Carter, product marketing manager of Sureflix Digital Distribution, which owns and operates the Maleflixxx global network, said this year was their most successful in the company's three years of hosting the award, in terms of the number of votes received.

Carter gave part of the credit to Maleflixxx's affiliate and studio partners for jumping in to help promote the voting process.

"The response from the gay adult video community at large has been overwhelmingly positive, and we have witnessed that the nominated studios eagerly await the outcome," Carter told XBIZ. "Our studio partners have told us that, as in the mainstream video industry, a nod from the fans is one of the highest honors possible."

"Justice" is directed by Steven Scarborough and stars Shane Rollins and a cast of Hot House performers. The feature was nominated for a total of 12 Grabby Awards.

"We strongly believe in acknowledging the best of the best, and this year's nominated titles are all deserving of such an honor," Sureflix President Eric Johnson said. "Maleflixxx is proud to once again, give the fans a voice to recognize their favorite video of the year."
