FSC Hires Lotus Lain to Manage Industry Relations

LOS ANGELES — Performer and industry activist Lotus Lain has joined the Free Speech Coalition team to help manage relationships between the organization, its members and the wider adult industry.

According to a rep, Lain’s first priority will be to grow the FSC INSPIRE program, which aims to help performers who are new to the industry understand their rights, expectations and the resources available to them. Currently, the program primarily helps new performers avoid unlicensed or unbonded agents.

Lain will also assist administratively with day-to-day operations at FSC, and will report to Ian O’Brien, the FSC's director of scientific and regulatory affairs.

“Lotus is dedicated to the health and well-being of the industry and its workers, and we’re lucky to have her,” said Eric Paul Leue, the FSC's executive director. “I first got to know Lotus during the Cal/OSHA regulatory process, and the battle over Prop 60. She brings a passion and experience that will not only inform the work we do, but push it forward.”
