ASACP Honors Featured Sponsors for December

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced Rabbit’s Reviews, Sextronix and Cybersocket.com as its featured sponsors for the month of December.

Every month the association recognizes an elite group of Featured Sponsors to honor for their valued ongoing commitment to the cause of online child protection.

According to ASACP’s dxecutive director Tim Henning, the non-profit association’s 21-year-long record of success has only been possible due to the generous support of its family of sponsors, which include top-tier companies from every segment of the internet ecosystem and beyond.

“There are many companies that are in a position to protect children in their daily digital lives, but not all of them have stepped up to don the mantle of leadership in this vital mission,” Henning said. “ASACP’s Featured Sponsors have not shied away from this responsibility, and so we are grateful for their efforts to protect children and for their support of the association’s many vital services.”

These services are highlighted by ASACP’s globally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline that has processed more than one million CP reports to-date, illustrating the value of the association and the effective use it makes of the support it receives, the association reported.

ASACP also provides website operators with its Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label that helps filter age-restricted materials, along with market-specific Best Practices, plus a universal Code of Ethics that guides companies towards child-safe operation, and more.

“Through their industry leadership,” Henning added. “ASACP’s Featured Sponsors show that proactive self-regulation combined with parental oversight can keep children safer online, and provide a great example for other companies to follow.”

Rabbit’s Reviews

As a corporate Sponsor that has supported ASACP since 2005, the Rabbit’s Reviews Network is made up of free websites that provide honest and expert reviews across all niches of the adult industry. As a veteran in the industry, RabbitsReviews.com along with TheBestPorn.com, continue to act as the “Consumer Reports” of internet pornography, providing expert value and quality ratings for all types of adult sites.

They have since expanded their network to include several other independent adult resource sites in the live cam and virtual reality niches, including MyFavSexCams.xxx, TopChats.com and VRPornSites.xxx.

Rabbit’s Network continues to aid in the prevention of minors’ unauthorized access to its age-restricted material through the use of a warning page and parental filtering controls. These measures provide a vital protective barrier between youth and adult entertainment in accordance with ASACP’s Best Practices. It is with the help and generous support of sponsors like Rabbit’s Network that the ASACP has been able to carry on its mission of protecting children.

Sextronix

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2010, Sextronix’s affiliate program allows marketers to promote the company’s more than 200 premium adult websites, which serve straight and gay consumers with niche content depicting solo girls, adult-oriented cartoons and animated Hentai material, along with content for transgender enthusiasts.

Among the company’s offerings are free sites, which may typically allow unrestricted access to age-inappropriate materials; but Sextronix takes the protective steps of including a warning page as well as RTA labeling, to prevent unexpected or unauthorized access — a process it further strengthens by requiring a credit card for age verification.

Many of Sextronix’s sites target consumers on a wide variety of devices to satisfy today’s diverse audiences, but this complicates matters from a child protection standpoint. ASACP’s Best Practices for mobile adult sites and applications help guide digital media companies facing these challenges by providing workable solutions.

Cybersocket.com

An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2003, Cybersocket produces print and digital media aimed at the LGBT community. The company publishes the nation’s largest freely distributed gay magazine Cybersocket; as well as the site 2Gay4FB with over 1 million unique visits per month; in addition to other review sites and blogs. The company also hosts the annual Cybersocket Web Awards, honoring the finest gay online services and other events at adult industry gatherings.

Cybersocket promotes gay adult websites to a large and varied audience worldwide while providing news, practical resources and provocative original content for the LGBT community. An industry leader, Cybersocket provides a powerful example of keeping children out of and away from adult-oriented material, in part by using the Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta-label on its website.

“My business partner and I have supported the mission of ASACP from its inception. And for a number of years I was able to be on its advisory panel,” Cybersocket’s Morgan Sommer said. “I know the real world work that ASACP does in the realm of child protection, that it is necessary, and most of which goes unseen and unpublicized. In the current social and political climate I feel it is more important than ever to self-police as an industry and make it clear to all that we have no interest in minors visiting our sites and that we as an industry are just as keen as anyone else to expose and remove child predators who lurk online.”

Henning concluded, “From adult content review sites to affiliate programs, to the very best in gay adult entertainment, ASACP’s Featured Sponsors reflect the diversity of the online ecosystem and the range of companies that lend their support to our vital mission. Regardless of their industry role, these companies demonstrate their leadership position by taking tangible steps to protect children from age-inappropriate material through their sponsorship of ASACP.”
