Dallas Novelty Scores XBIZ Awards Nom

NEW YORK — Dallas Novelty has received a 2018 XBIZ Awards nomination for Online Retailer of the Year — Specialty.

“At Dallas Novelty we work very hard to make our site easy to navigate and find what the customer is looking for,” said Nick Mahler of Dallas Novelty. “Since we are focusing more on our disabled customers who may be in a situation by birth or accident, we want them to feel no frustration when finding an intimate pleasure product.

"Since I am in a wheelchair with a progressive muscular skeletal disease called FOP, I have a unique insight into sex toys for limited mobility and toys that make pleasure more easily attained,” Mahler continued. “I thank XBIZ as well as our peers are noticing the good that we are doing for disabled people around the world. The exposure in being nominated for these prestigious awards will allow even more people to see that we are here to help.”

Earlier this month, Dallas Novelty, named the reality TV star known to the media as the “Paralyzed Bride,” Rachelle Chapman, as their official brand spokesperson, educating sexual awareness for the disabled nationwide.

“When I first had my spinal cord injury, I wondered how I would have sex and what that would mean for my relationship,” Chapman commented. “I quickly learned that even though my sex life would be different it would very much still exist. Sex and intimacy is an important part of my identity as a woman and once I discovered my sexuality I felt secure and confident.

“Many people don't realize that people with disabilities can be intimate and sexy and that needs to change,” she continued. “Dallas Novelty acknowledges the sexual needs of people with disabilities and that means a lot to people like me."

The 2018 XBIZ Awards will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18, at the JW Marriott in downtown Los Angeles. For the complete list of finalist nominees, visit XBIZ.com
