Stars scheduled to play and appear include Tera Patrick, Stormy Daniels, Jenna Haze, Gina Lynn, Sunny Lane and b.a.b.e. spokeswoman Taylor Wane. The buy-in is $250 for the $5,000 grand prize tournament, and $100 admission for those who just want to party and play for prizes.
b.a.b.e. has brought on the support of KLSX 97.1 (Free-FM) as their radio sponsor, in a push to bring out the mainstream consumer crowd, in addition to the adult industry.
"Really we'd like to have a mainstream, consumer crowd there," b.a.b.e. Executive Director Marcia Hrichison told XBIZ. "But we want it to be a celebration of adult industry support. So many gals come out, and they've been at Erotica L.A., we've done Miami, we did AEE, and we had such really good support from all the gals. This is a good way to acknowledge them and be our VIP guests and hosts for the event."
Hrichison said this year, b.a.b.e. is planning to "double down." Last year, the tournament raised $30,000 and this year they're shooting for $100,000. "Babes and aces is a very powerful combination," she said. "The second annual tournament will be at least twice as effective in raising funds and awareness."
In addition to supporting the Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, donations will also be made to other organizations such as the Wellness Centers; Westside Family Health Center, Los Angeles; and the nationwide Check 'Em, Don't Neglect 'Em Campaign.
The event will include the Texas Hold 'Em No-Limit Poker Tournament, Babes & Aces poker and blackjack tables with sponsor-donated prizes (from tickets to Erotica L.A. to free hotel stays in Las Vegas), an auction and a buffet.
