CalExotics Wins Creativity International Award for Mini Marvels

LOS ANGELES — CalExotics has won a 2017 Creativity International Award for its Mini Marvels collection that was recognized for its outstanding packaging design in the health and beauty category.

The Creativity International Design Awards have been in the business of awarding excellent graphic design work since 1970. Each year they award and recognize great design and the designers that created it. Winning entries are selected for their quality of art, or their advertising impact, or both. The awards are open to both students and professionals around the world.

Susan Colvin, founder and CEO of CalExotics, says, “As a recipient of a prestigious Creativity International Award we are among so many incredible organizations. It is truly an honor.”

Hundreds of entries were submitted for this year’s awards; including entries from 28 countries, two Canadian Provinces and 20 U.S. States. CalExotics was recognized alongside many well-known companies including PepsiCo, HBO, A+E Networks and more.

“These products are some of our best work, and we are thrilled to receive this award,” Colvin said.

CalExotics’ Mini Marvels line features massagers that take a spin on the comic-book world with bold colors, whimsical styles and artistic designs. The line includes the Marvelous Eggciter, Marvelous Bunny, Marvelous Massager and the Marvelous Flicker.

Glamour Magazine put the Marvelous Massager on its list of 15 Extremely Cute Sex Toys. A set of beauty vloggers showed that Mini Marvels can be used as a sex toy or a beauty blender in a video that has more than 850,000 views.

Adult retailers also have showcased Mini Marvels front and center in their shops and online. Adultmart created a sexy window display, as well as Deja Vu Love Boutique. Some employees had fun with the playful collection, dressing up as the ladies featured on the packaging for Mini Marvels for Halloween.

“Mini Marvels is exciting and the perfect line to focus on during Halloween,” said Jackie White, executive vice president of CalExotics. “You can use the bold colors and fun packaging to grab the attention of eager holiday shoppers.”
