Quentin Boyer Joins XBIZ as Managing Editor of XBIZ World Magazine

LOS ANGELES — Quentin “Q” Boyer, former director of marketing and public relations for TopBucks, has been hired by XBIZ as the managing editor of XBIZ World magazine.

Q has 10 years experience in the business, including most recently as the director of traffic development for NicheBucks.com and as a regular contributor to YNOT News. He has also been a frequent participant on industry trade show seminars, and as early as 1997 was the “voice” of the inimitable Cap'n Smut — a cartoon character then associated with Smutlinks.com and the "Smutseal.”

Q will oversee all editorial components related to XBIZ World magazine, and will, along with other editorial staff members, represent XBIZ editorial at many industry events.

"I'm elated to be coming on board with XBIZ, particularly at a time when there are so many pressing issues facing the adult industry,” Boyer said. “Between enforcement of 2257, fast paced technical advances and increasing scrutiny of the adult industry at all levels of government, now more than ever the industry needs a credible, reliable source of information. I look forward to taking a leading role in solidifying XBIZ World's place as the industry's go-to source for accurate, timely and vital news."

“We are genuinely thrilled to have Quentin on board,” Publisher Tom Hymes said. “Not only does he bring all the skills necessary to be a great managing editor, such as impeccable writing and flawless integrity, but his years of experience as an affiliate manager for large programs will serve our readership very well in the coming months and years. One would be hard-pressed to think of anyone in the industry with as complete a portfolio as Quentin’s, and of course, it doesn’t hurt that he’s also a great guy.”

Boyer can be reached at quentin@xbiz.com.
