James told XBIZ that "eXXXtra eXXXtra" pokes fun at our celebrity-laced, scandal-laced culture, with Lane and Lockwood playing the hosts of a morning TV show styled similarly to "Live With Regis & Kathy Lee" and "Extra."
"It's a real cute movie with great sex," James said. "There are some real smokin' scenes in this movie."
James said that she grew up in the TV business, her dad being a stunt man, and that she used her knowledge to convey the idea of a real TV celeb-news show, complete with stories that are direct take-offs of current celebrity drama.
Talk show host Rosie O'Donnell's tiff with billionaire Donald Trump is one of the gossip-drama stories featured, as well as the alleged black eye shared between socialite Paris Hilton and former beauty queen Shanna Moakler.
James said she came up with names that poked fun at Hollywood's "It" girls. For example, Nikki Benz plays bimbo socialite "Paris Hyatt," and Lexi Love plays pop star "Britney Tears," who's linked to dancer/playboy "Kevin Borderline."
"I picked up all the latest copies of National Enquirer and Star and listened to the most salacious things I could find [to include in the movie]," James said.
James said she is in the process of putting together an "eXXXtra eXXXtra" sequel, which already has Scott and Lockwood committed to star. The second film will have the same satirical feel, but will stray from TV and revolve around another equally scandal-ridden industry.
