FBI Inspects Defunct Company’s 2257 Records

WINNETKA, Calif. — In its continuing 2257 record keeping inspections of adult content producers, the FBI conducted an inspection of the defunct Moonlight Entertainment owned by Mark Stone on May 3.

FBI spokesperson Laura I. Miller confirmed the inspection to XBIZ, which took place at Stone’s home where his records are kept. It is the first known 2257 inspection to have occurred this year.

According to IAFD.com, Moonlight Entertainment started producing adult films in 1987 and ended in 2000.

Stone did not respond to a message seeking comment at press time.

The other companies that have been subject to 2257 records inspections are Diabolic (July 24), Sebastian Sloane Productions (July 28), Robert Hill Releasing (Aug. 1), Sunshine Films (Aug. 16), Darkside Entertainment (Sept. 12), Evasive Angles (Sept. 27), Legend (Oct. 10), Pure Play Media (Nov. 16), and K-Beech (Dec. 14).

The FBI’s inspection of Bethlehem, Pa.-based Sebastian Sloane Productions was prompted by an unrelated search warrant.
