The awards presentation will take place on June 23 at the Los Angeles Convention Center as part of Erotica LA. The show will be hosted by Tera Patrick and Evan Stone.
There are 14 categories, including a wild card category, selected by the fans each year. This year's wild card is "Favorite Performer of All-Time," with 12 nominees. Performers Tera Patrick, Belladonna and Jenna Haze have four nominations each. Fans can vote now at the F.A.M.E awards site.
The favorite female star winner will receive a Tiffany pearl necklace valued at approximately $5,000, and the favorite male star winner receives a blue-diamond watch valued at approximately $2,000, courtesy of ImLive.com, which will also help provide live streaming of the awards show at the F.A.M.E. awards site. In the weeks leading up to the show, ImLive.com will host live chats with various finalists.
"We were very surprised with the number of fans who voted in the initial round this year," Dan Davis, spokesman for the F.A.M.E. Awards, said. "We have far surpassed last year's numbers and would like to congratulate all of the finalists and thank all of the fans who have taken part in the process. We're looking very forward to this year's show which promises to be great for the fans and stars."
The F.A.M.E. Awards were created in 2006 by executive sponsors and show creators Genesis Magazine, Adam & Eve, WantedList.com and AVN.com for fans to honor their favorite adult film stars, directors, movies and companies. Fans take part in the entire process, from choosing the finalists to selecting the winners. The 2007 F.A.M.E. Awards is co-sponsored by ImLive.com, HotMovies.com and Erotica LA.
