The Jonathan Morgan-directed comedy “Camp Cuddly Pines Powertool Massacre” released in December 2006 was the first adult movie to be released on HD DVD with a resolution of 720p.
"The 1080p encoding takes the adult HD DVD experience through the roof, and gives the consumer the same kind of image quality they’ve been seeing in mainstream HD DVD releases,” said Jackie Ramos, Wicked Pictures vice president of DVD production. “In embracing this new technology, I’m proud to say that Wicked is once again prominently on the leading edge.”
Ramos has been a strong proponent of the next-gen HD DVD format and sees the release of “Curse Eternal” in 1080p as a factor in the increased consumer adoption of the new technology. Ramos recently was a guest on FOX News discussing the adult industry’s role in driving content delivery.
