Raging Stallion Plans Big Changes

SAN FRANCISCO — Gay studio Raging Stallion has announced plans to radically update its RearStable.com website. The enhanced site is scheduled to launch in late April, according to Brian Randall at GunzBlazing.com, the Australia-based programmer supervising the update.

Randall has told XBIZ that the new site's opening and tour pages of the new widescreen site will be turned over to a Flash-based system. "It's totally dynamic, very eye-catching and allows us to present large amounts of new video and photographs on one page."

Flash video streaming also will be added, giving users a choice of Windows Media streaming, hi-res, and full-screen Flash video as well as secured downloadable videos. "Many of our gay members are on Mac and this was the only way we could give everybody a quality experience," Randall said.

A new "Special Feature" section enables users to preview a scene from an unreleased movie for a limited time only.

The music player also has been updated, so that "Music to Fuck To" featuring tunes compiled by one of Raging Stallion co founder J.D. Slater can be streamed 24/7.

The site has also been given enhanced images and "given a good spit and polish," Randall said.

The San Francisco-based Raging Stallion studio was started by Chris Ward and J. D. Slater in 1999. Performer Michael Brandon became a co-owner in 2002. The studio plans to produce 24 videos during 2007, and is the first gay studio to release an HD DVD disc, the upcoming "Mirage," which was set for April release.

The company has 24 exclusive performers under contract, the most recent of whom, Steve Cruz, also stars in "Mirage." In February, Raging Stallion won seven awards in the fan-voted WeHo Awards, the only gay erotic awards held in the Los Angeles area. The seven awards included Film of the Year for "Lords of the Jungle" and Studio of the Year.

The ManNet.com Top-100 movie list for 2006 had 15 Raging Stallion titles. Raging Stallion brands include Monster Bang, Hairy Boyz and Centurion Pictures, and the company maintains several websites including HairyBoyz.com, FistingCentral.com and SexGaymes.com.
