NEW YORK — What’s in Your Box? will be showcasing its monthly subscription boxes at Sex Expo New York 2017, presented by Chaturbate and set for Sept. 23-24 at the Brooklyn Expo Center.
Based in Brooklyn, What’s in Your Box? is described by founder Christine Long as “a monthly subscription box backed by a social movement for women’s sexual health and satisfaction.” Every month, subscribers receive boxes containing an assortment of sex toys, pleasure products and educational material.
“We help women care for their cooch by equipping them with products, toys and information for a safe and satisfying sex life,” Long said. “WIYB is the perfect solution for any woman looking to explore her body solo or spice things up with a partner (and is also) a social platform to open up conversations around women’s sexual health and bring more awareness to the topic.”

“We’ve established a relatable voice with a humorous undertone on our blog, ‘Sex, Feels & Feminism,’ as well as on our social channels to promote a healthy attitude towards our bodies, sex and relationships,” Long said. “Our monthly subscription box is informative and affordable, while (being), of course, cheeky and fun. It samples uniquely curated products for sexual health, pleasure, hygiene and empowerment by brands who share our vision.”
Organizers for the Sexual Health Expo (SHE) announced, in early March, that the bicoastal, biannual event was rebranding as Sex Expo. Long said she is “excited for the event (being) in Brooklyn, since that’s where we’re based. We’ll be selling subscriptions on site.”
Sex Expo New York 2017 will feature showcases and product demonstration from top manufacturers of pleasure products and sex toys — and adult retail chain The Pleasure Chest, serving as official sex education sponsor, is presenting workshops on a wide range of topics.
Pleasure products manufacturer We-Vibe is serving as registration sponsor for Sex Expo New York 2017 — and Chaturbate, presenting sponsor for the Brooklyn show, is a top adult camming platform. Founded in 2011, Chaturbate features an affiliate program, ad traffic sales and a wide variety of tools for webmasters and broadcasters.
The Brooklyn Expo Center is located at 72 Noble St. in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint area and is within walking distance of the MTA’s Greenpoint Ave. subway station. To reach the Brooklyn Expo Center from Manhattan, take the G Train.
