PITTSBURGH — Adult Empire today listed its Top 10 list of favorite porn stars for June, and Sunny Leone again took the top position last month.
"Miss Leone was our best-selling and most-searched porn star for June, just as she was for the month of May," Megan Wozniak, Adult Empire’s director of marketing said.
But Wozniak noted that she’s got some ongoing competition with Alexis Texas, and it doesn’t appear to be diminishing as July’s first-week sales kick in.
In fact, Wozniak said, Adult Empire’s latest weekly AE Pulse blog post shows Leone dropping to No. 2, just behind Texas.
“Time will tell about how July will pan out between Sunny and Alexis,” Wozniak said. “Who knows? Maybe we’ll see someone new claim the top spot.”
Other adult stars in recent best-selling titles making the list included Julia Ann, who was No. 3; Kendra Sunderland, No. 4; Kendra Lust, No. 5; Angela White, No. 6; Lana Rhoades, No. 7; Riley Reid, No. 8; Jesse Jane, No. 9; and Abella Danger, No. 10.
AE Pulse noted that Sunderland, whose Blacked title “Kendra's Obsession” reigned as Adult Empire top DVD for much of May and June, is now sitting at No. 2 this week as a new Blacked release, “Interracial & Anal Vol. 4,” claimed the top spot.
AE Pulse also noted the top-selling video-on-demand purchases, with Evil Angel’s “Blackmailed Cheating Teens” at No. 1; Reality Junkies at No. 2 with “Mothers & Their Boys”; Evil Angel’s “Top Notch Anal #2” and “Magnificent Anal MILFs” at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively; and Adam & Eve’s “Babysitting the Baumgartners,” finishing off at No. 5.
“Teen titles, MILF titles, anal titles, trans titles … they are current and consistent, top-trending genres for us,” said Wozniak, adding that “star showcases are once again on the rise, and it’s clear that fans are definitely loyal to their favorites.”
