LA Weekly Spotlights Buck Angel for 'People' Issue

LOS ANGELES — Famed trans performer and activist Buck Angel is featured in LA Weekly’s 2017 “People” issue, where he discusses the importance of educating trans men on masturbation, his transition and more.

The article, aptly titled “Former Porn Star Buck Angel Is on a Mission to Help Trans Men to Masturbate” begins with author Jennifer Swan detailing their initial encounter.

“On the crowded patio of the Coffee Bean in Los Feliz, Buck Angel reaches his huge, tattooed bicep across the table and shows me an iPhone video of him stroking his clitoris using a silicon attachment about the size of a large button mushroom,” Swan wrote. “I've agreed to watch it after admitting that I don't know how the Buck-Off — the sex toy he designed and the first ever invented for trans men to masturbate with — actually works.”

Angel, according to the article, squeals with excitement at the opportunity to showcase his XBIZ Award-winning toy. "If we don't educate, how are people going to learn?" He tells Swan.

In addition, the article delves into Angel’s background and his most recent endeavors, such as dabbling with the marijuana industry and his determination to get more trans men to share their stories. To read the full article, click here
