NEW YORK — CamSoda today announced "Language Lessons," an adult language-learning service that combines cam models with the latest translation technologies to make learning a foreign language fun and sensual.
In addition to camming with a model in a private chatroom, fans can now engage in casual conversation with the model to learn an assortment of languages including Spanish, French, Romanian and English.
"We wanted to offer our fans an incentive to learn a completely new language and what better way than courtesy of their favorite cam model in a private chat with some casual, and maybe sensual, conversation?” said Darren Press, VP of CamSoda. “Everyone has had a crush on their teacher at some point or another, whether it be Veronica Vaughn, Jess Day, the hot teacher in Van Halen's 'Hot for Teacher' music video or one you had growing up. We're letting our fans live out their ultimate fantasy while, simultaneously, legitimately learning a new language.
“Unlike current translation offerings, which can be quite monotonous, 'Language Lessons' will motivate users to keep coming back for more,” Press continued. “There is no set curriculum or regimented structure. We encourage our users to explore at their own pace. I can assure you that all of our models are amenable to rewarding good linguists with the removal of clothing — or well, that's for them to decide."
CamSoda reports its new service allows cam models to communicate in their native tongue with users through video and voice as well as text, which can then be translated into English in real-time via CamSoda's language translation technology. For example, if a cam model chats a user and says, "Hola, me llamo Claudia," the user can click on CamSoda's "Translate" button and find out that it means, "Hello, my name is Claudia."
Users can access the new offering on CamSoda's new "Language Lessons" section through the homepage here. There, users can browse by language and/or model and request a session with a specific model. They simply send a request and the model will reply back to the user with available days/times. At the scheduled day/time, the user visits the model's page and enters into a fixed length private for the lesson. Rates vary based upon the model and duration of the session.
"I'm especially excited to teach my fans Spanish," said Alice Gomez, a Camsoda model who will partake in "Language Lessons" and offer Spanish sessions. "I've been bilingual my entire life and am excited to share my native tongue with my fans. Rather than learn Spanish from some generic app, my fans can have a casual conversation with me, which is especially conducive to learning a new language."
