Playboy Names Brook Power 2017 Playmate of the Year

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Hawaiian surfer babe Brook Power has been named Playboy’s 2017 Playmate of the Year.

Power is featured on the cover of Playboy’s May/June 2017 issue, which offers an 11-page pictorial shot by fashion photographer David Bellemere. The issue hits newsstands nationwide April 25 and is available online now.

Power made her Playboy debut in May 2016 during its no-nudity period, and she was in her first months of pregnancy at the time. She lives in Hawaii and is a local surfer babe.

“I probably feel the most beautiful when I’m surfing at home in Hawaii,” Power told Playboy. “That sounds so cheesy, but having that life force surrounding you and the water on your skin, moving under your feet, you definitely feel powerful, as though you’ve harnessed this great natural energy. You’re not just a spectator — you’re making it even more beautiful by being there.”

Playboy Creative Director Chis Deacon called Power “the epitome of free spirit — cool, confident and creative.”

Power is Playboy's 58th Playmate of the Year.
