Lovehoney Declares April 21 'Sexual Happiness Day'

BATH, England — Lovehoney, the U.K.'s biggest sex toy retailer has declared April 21 “Sexual Happiness Day” with the goal to start an annual celebration of the benefits of good sex.

Lovehoney sold its first-ever pleasure product in 2002. Fifteen years ago, options to buy items to enhance your sex life were limited to brick-and-mortar stores and online outlets that more resembled porn sites.

Fast forward to today and customers are virtually limitless in finding products that cater to their needs and desires, with discreet and anonymous packaging options, anywhere in the world.

Lovehoney co-founder Richard Longhurst said, "Sexual Happiness Day is a day of celebration and is designed to be inclusive of everybody, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status: inclusivity is the cornerstone of our business. We want to inspire people to seek out their own Sexual Happiness, to be adventurous, to have fun with sex be it in a couple or on their own."

Lovehoney says it wants Sexual Happiness Day to be celebrated everywhere for years to come, and for the day to symbolize a time when people can feel confident in expressing themselves.

For the first Sexual Happiness Day, Lovehoney says it hopes that people all over the world are encouraged to seek out new and exciting ways to spice up their sex lives.
