Good for Her Announces Inaugural Toronto International Porn Festival

Toronto — Good for Her has announced the nominees for its inaugural Toronto International Porn Festival, which was formerly known as the Feminist Porn Awards.

The four-day festival dedicated to adult film strives “to empower, celebrate and offer a platform to discover progressive and positive porn.” From April 20-23, the festival will screen a sampling of 50+ titles over three screenings.

Good for Her’s judging criteria is as follows: 

• Quality — We love to award films that look great. We have seen great-looking films produced with a limited amount of resources.
• Inclusiveness – We recognize in a niche-based industry like porn not all films are for all audiences and aren’t able to include everyone. But we also love it when films make an effort to explore sexualities that are often marginalized, fetishized and/ or ignored by most porn.
• The “it” factor — Movies that showcase a unique perspective are especially appealing. We are always most impressed when we encounter something novel, innovative and exciting that causes us to think about sexuality in a fresh way.
• Hotness — Bodies are well-lit and framed, desire radiates off the screen and all parties involved appear enthusiastic. Plenty of orgasms don’t hurt either!
