Tantriss to Feature UMIE at SHE L.A.

LOS ANGELES — Tantriss will be exhibiting its new smartphone-compatible sex toy, UMIE, at the next Sexual Health Expo (SHE), to be held this weekend Feb. 4-5 at the California Market Center (CMC) in Los Angeles.

Tantriss described UMIE as a product “designed to bring the ancient art of Tantra into the 21st century.” UMIE is app-controlled and can be purchased for $149 at the company’s official website, Tantriss.com.

“Tantriss created UMIE as a way to bring the ancient practice of Tantra to the next generation, shaping the future of sexual communication through the use of smart technology,” a company representative for Tantriss said. “With their device, women and couples are able to embark on a journey of self-discovery and sexual enlightenment in a fun, nonthreatening way with the press of a button.”

The waterproof UMIE, which is compatible with mobile operating systems that include Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android, features a 12-frequency, 10-mode microchip and a rechargeable lithium ion battery.

“UMIE unites dual motors to provide seamless 360-degree stimulation throughout to achieve incredible intensity,” a spokesperson said. “What’s more, UMIE has a heatable body with the ability to reach temperatures of 103 degrees Fahrenheit/36 degrees Celsius.”

Suzie Michelle, brand strategist for Tantriss, said, “We are always in a hurry, and sometimes, we forget to be present in the moment, to relax and enjoy simple pleasures … If an app helped me to breath slower, be in the moment, it would certainly heighten my experience and perhaps lead me to bliss.”

Tantriss said that one of its goals as a company is merging digital technology and pleasure products.

“More than ever, people are looking for ways to involve pleasure into the digital environment,” a representative said. “Tantriss has developed a platform to make this digital connection personal and customized with plans to unveil a series of in-app guided experiences with experts later this year.”

Tantriss said, “Inspired by the ancient practice of Tantra, Tantriss aims to re-shape sexual communication with its app-based products, and is committed to growing a healthy community of users around the world. Tantriss also provides superior customer service and social privacy for all users.”

The California Market Center is located at 110 E. 9th St. in Downtown Los Angeles.
