LOS ANGELES — X-Play has announced the launch of its I Love the ‘80s Porn Contest, which is free to enter and will feature prizes for first, second and third place.
First-place winners will receive a box set of DVDs, a Traci Lords coffee mug, a copy of X-Play’s "Not Traci Lords XXX" and a pair of panties worn by Misty Stone — who narrates that film along with Ron Jeremy and Tom Byron. “Not Traci Lords XXX,” directed by Will Ryder, is a parody of 1980s adult films.
Entrants must describe, in four sentences or less, their favorite 1980s porn memory and e-mail it to nottracilords@gmail.com along with their contact information, e-mail or phone number. The contest will end on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 11:59 p.m. and is open to anyone 18 or older. Stone will select the winning entry.
“I want to read some good shit, baby,” Stone said. “So you better bring it.”
Ryder said, “Even if you weren't around in the 1980s, there's a good chance you might have uncovered a stash of vintage porn movies at your uncle's house or found old magazines tucked under your father's mattress giving you some type of memory to share. The winner will be selected for being any combination of the following: entertaining, interesting, shocking, informative, humorous or depressing.”
“Not Traci Lords XXX,” which has received nine nominations in the 2017 XBIZ Awards, is distributed by Pulse and features Lucy Tyler as Traci Lords, Carter Cruise as Samantha Strong, Cameron Dee as Amber Lynn, Courtney Shea as Ginger Lynn, Zoey Monroe as Bunny Bleu, Mia Austin as Nina DePonca, Angelina Chung as Kristara Barrington, Ashley Graham as Nina Hartley, Gaia as Mai Lin, Angel Del Rey as the fluffer and the late Natasha Vega as Christy Canyon.
“If the names Traci Lords, Ginger Lynn, Amber Lynn, Christy Canyon, Nina Hartley, Bunny Bleu, Samantha Strong, Kristara Barrington, Nina DePonca, Ron Jeremy, John Holmes, Mai Lin, Jerry Butler, Tom Byron, Eric Edwards and Jim South ring a bell, then you are either a fan of the 1980s porn scene or you can actually remember what it was like to purchase or rent a VHS tape and jerk off to a porn movie in the comfort of your own home,” an X-Play spokesperson said.
Stone said, “When was the last time there was a porn industry contest? Get those e-mails poppin', baby.”
“Not Traci Lords XXX” also features Tyler Nixon as a young Tom Byron, Richie Calhoun as John Holmes, Kurt Lockwood as Jerry Butler, Jay Smooth as Jeff Styker, Eric John as Eric Edwards, Anthony Rosano as director Henri Pachard, Rick Garcia as director Freddie Lincoln and Byron as talent agent Jim South.
